Kitchen installation and practical updates
My Refresh can discuss fitting a new kitchen or updating selected parts of an existing one. Typical enquiries include cabinet installation, worktops, trims and finishing carpentry. Whether you have already ordered the units or are still deciding on a layout, the kitchen plan and specification are the starting point for a useful quotation.
Customer-supplied kitchens
Provide the supplier’s plan, cabinet list, worktop details and appliance specifications. Mention whether units arrive assembled or flat-packed: assembly affects the labour required. Confirm delivery timing and space to store the materials. Missing panels, incorrect units or damaged parts can interrupt installation, so the order should be checked before the agreed fitting date.
Worktops and the details around them
Worktop material, joint positions, sink and hob cut-outs, wall condition and access all affect the job. Send photographs and measurements for an initial discussion. A straight replacement and a multi-run layout are different scopes. Specialist surfaces or fabrication should not be assumed to fall within a standard worktop-fitting allowance.
Agree who does what
A kitchen can involve plumbing, electrical work, appliance connections, plastering, flooring and decorating. The quotation must state which work My Refresh undertakes and which needs separately arranged qualified trades. Removal, disposal, preparation and making-good must be identified before booking. No gas or electrical certification is implied by a carpentry quote.
Survey before the final quotation
We review dimensions, clearances, walls, access and the available plan. Existing problems or layout changes can alter the work. The final quote follows the agreed specification; an online door estimate should not be used as a kitchen-installation price.
Your questions, answered
Can you fit a kitchen I buy myself?
Yes, subject to reviewing the plan, specification, delivery and installation requirements. Tell us whether it is flat-packed or assembled.
Can you replace worktops without a whole new kitchen?
It may be possible, depending on the existing units, material and layout. Photos and a survey help establish the scope.
Is plumbing or electrical work included?
Only when expressly included and appropriately arranged. The quote must make trade responsibilities and exclusions clear.
Planning a project?
For standard doors, start with the online estimate. For other work, gather photos, dimensions and your postcode, then use the project planner to prepare your enquiry. Availability is confirmed before booking.
